How Can You Spend Differently? I’m Curious.

You can add one small, doable task at the end of every day — one that will shine a clear light on your money habits.
Tracking your spending doesn’t have to be boring or painful. It can be quick, empowering, and even (dare I say) fun.
Every morning, I secretly hope to see a headline that says:
“Money Tracking Is Officially Cancelled!”
But nope — still there, still worth doing.

One of my oldest clients was 98 years old and still tracked every penny. Why? Because
it allowed her to enjoy taking her kids out once a month, getting her hair and nails done weekly, and happy hour every single day — guilt-free.
Now that’s a lifestyle worth tracking for!
Choose your tracking tool:
A little notebook you keep in your car or on the counter
A new list in your Notes app
Or (like me!) add it to the bottom of your day in your Calendar app in grey
Try this daily tracking rhythm:
At the end of the day, jot down each purchase — one line per item — and add a quick shorthand for what it was for: food, fun, clothes, kids, house, etc.
That’s it. No judgment. No guilt. Just curiosity —
and a growing awareness that will change everything.
Challenge yourself: How many days in a row can you track your spending?
